About me

I'm Ivan, an Italian Technical Sound Designer.

My work bridges artistic processes and technical workflows, with skills spanning audio design, implementation, custom plugin programming and workflow design. I love building audio systems that are both creative and functional, helping games sound as good as they feel to play.
When I’m not working on audio, I’m usually exploring the newest titles, playing the bass, or travelling.

Work Experience

  1. Crow’s Nest Game Studio

    2024 — Present

    Independent fighting game, in development. Implemented audio systems with Wwise in Godot 4. Built custom solutions to handle audio with multiplayer networking and rollback in mind. Built small custom Wwise plugins with the Wwise SDK.

  2. Interactive Corporate Projects

    2024

    Worked on interactive corporate experiences in Unity, creating and implementing audio assets using Unity's native audio engine.
    Developed and integrated audio systems into existing applications, and configured Unity builds to adapt to diverse playback setups and speaker configurations, ensuring reliable audio across different environments.

  3. Torino Magazine

    2022 — 2024

    Leading publication in Piedmont, Italy. Produced, engineered, and mixed podcast sessions, managing the full audio production pipeline, editing, cleaning, and mixing dialogue and interviews to meet quality and loudness standards.

  4. Freelance Linear Media Audio Post Production

    2021 — Present

    Varied freelance work on linear media, namely animated shorts and short films.
    Sound design, audio cleanup, ADR and syncing.

Volunteering & Passion Projects

  1. Mirror’s Edge: Initiation

    Volunteered on the community-made expansion Mirror’s Edge: Initiation, focusing on dialogue editing, asset preparation, and technical implementation.
    Automated batch mastering workflows and ensured consistent audio quality.

  2. Charity Speedrunning Events

    Volunteered for several European gaming charity events, providing technical support, managing live sound setups, and ensuring seamless audio quality for both in-person and streamed content
